Electronic Design by Jean Lestrale
Complete Schematic Capture and Printed Circuit Board Design Services
I have over 30 years of aerospace electronic design
experience, working with RF, digital, analog and power
circuitry. I'm a member of the Institute of Electrical
and Electronic Engineers, and a certified Department of
Defense contractor, as well as an amateur radio operator
for many years. Areas of expertise include ultra-high
density layouts, robotic assembly, EMP and radiation
hardening, and obtaining military certifications and
FCC type-acceptances.
Here's a brief list of some of my more noteworthy designs :
      •   The UHF communications amplifier in the space shuttle, for NASA.
      •   The telemetry system in the Clementine space probe, for the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization.
      •   A cryogenically super-cooled ultra low noise receiver, for the NRAO (National Radio Astronomy Organization).
      •   An extremely low frequency encrypted receiver used aboard submarines, for the US Navy.
      •   Various satellite-based UHF transceivers for the Navy and the NRO (National Reconnaissance Office).
      •   RISC microcircuitry used in robotics, for DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency).
My commercial designs have included such things as cell phones for Nokia and Ericsson, a blood analysis computer used in labs and hospitals, a series of tiny shark-tracking transmitters for oceanographic research, and even a metal detector for gold prospecting.
As the sole proprietor of a small business, my fees remain suprisingly affordable. There's really no need to choose between economy or excellence, when I can give you both. I'll be glad to discuss your upcoming requirements, and provide you with a cost estimate for my services if you wish.
